General Questions
What is repatriation?
Repatriation is the process of returning someone who has died in one country to another for burial, cremation or memorial. This may involve transportation of the body or the ashes, depending on the family’s wishes and legal requirements.
Can you repatriate to and from any country?
Yes. We offer repatriation services to and from any destination worldwide, including Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, North America, and Australia. You can view our full list of countries and pricing here.
Do I need to use a repatriation specialist?
Yes, international repatriation requires specific documentation, legal procedures, and coordination with authorities, consulates, and airlines. We are fully equipped to handle these complexities professionally and respectfully.

Outbound Repatriation (From The Uk)
What documents are required to repatriate a loved one from the UK?
You’ll need:
- Two copies of the death certificate
- The deceased’s passport or ID card
- Out of England Certificate (from the Coroner)
- Free From Infection Certificate (from the hospital)
- Contact details of the receiving funeral director abroad
We handle the collection, embalming, documentation, embassy visits, flight booking and transport.
How long does outbound repatriation take?
Typically 5–10 working days, depending on the destination and embassy clearance. We keep you informed at every stage.
Can you arrange a funeral or cremation in the UK before repatriation?
Yes. If you prefer cremation here in the UK, we can arrange a respectful cremation service and organise ashes repatriation instead of a full-body transfer.
Inbound Repatriation (To The Uk)
What if my loved one died abroad?
We will liaise with overseas authorities, hospitals, and funeral homes to coordinate the full return of your loved one to the UK. We’ll guide you through every requirement, including document translation and customs.
Do I need to travel abroad to arrange the repatriation?
No. We will manage everything from the UK on your behalf, providing you with regular updates and full support throughout.

Ashes Repatriation
Can you help with ashes repatriation?
Absolutely. We offer ashes repatriation from the UK to overseas, and into the UK from abroad. We’ll handle all necessary permits, cremation certificates, and flight arrangements.
What if my loved one hasn’t been cremated yet?
We can arrange a dignified cremation in the UK before repatriating the ashes. This is often the preferred option for overseas families unable to attend in person.
Costs & Payments
How much does repatriation cost?
Prices vary depending on destination, embassy requirements, and whether we’re handling ashes or a full-body repatriation. View our pricing guide or contact us for a personalised quote.
Do you accept insurance cases?
Yes. We work with travel insurers and assistance companies worldwide. If your loved one was insured, we can handle the claim and coordinate with the provider directly.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We are fully transparent. All required services are clearly listed in our quote. If additional embassy or document legalisation fees apply, we’ll let you know upfront.
